Burns night - but not a sign of a wee promotion. No worries quite calm and pleasant in fact for a 'spoons.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Whitstable - Single Hop Chinook4.40ExcellentDry, crisp and hoppy and sparklingly bright. £1.49 with my CAMRA token - I feel rather guilty.
Wantsum - Turbulent Priest4.40AcceptableLove the name - especially relevant in Canterbury (Henry II v Becket reference) - but I''m not keen on this recipe at all.
Belhaven - Robert Burns Brown Ale4.20AcceptableI lied about the Burns theme - this looked liked a token gesture to Rabbie's night. Had a taster - too brown and sweet for me.

15:30 in/out visit. Ales looked interesting and seasonal but the bar was overwhelmed with diners and their time consuming orders.

11am. Maybe the worst JD in Kent. Nothing to keep me here with the City's 'finest' residents hard at it already!

Nice atmosphere until 100 students or youngsters turned up. The pensioners were funny rubbing for the exits!!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Stonehenge - Danish Dynamite5.00ExcellentSmokin and excellent value with a camra discount. Tad too cold for top mark.

early evening - pleasant. was researching the Falstaff Hotel bar at Mr P's suggestion - it is being refurbished "opening in July" - maybe ... I'll keep an eye on it. Popped in here instead. At least 8 beers on of course.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Adnams - Fat Sprat3.80GoodA little on the sweet side - but at £1.99 a pint I'm not complaining.

The end of a good long weekend - mid evening, Easter Monday. Busy at first but thinned out. Didn't note all beers on - 3 or 4 more.

About 11:30 on Friday morning. Almost all the seats already taken. It was a shame to be missing the Dover beer fest for the first time in a while, but Interpol at the Camden Roundhouse and two days in London meant I wasn't too sad!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wantsum - Oatmeal Stout5.50ExcellentReally excellent chocolatey stout, prefect for breakfast.
