Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 5 | 4.40 | Nicely conditioned version of this traditional Kentish Best Bitter. Nice balance between malt and fruit finished off with a biscuity hoppiness. Clean and fruity aftertaste. Had a couple. | |

The pub is found in Dover, Kent, CT17 9BZ.
On Snargate Street in an area originally well pubbed in docklands. In living memory a small Fremlins pub called The Avenue (records show called Perseverance even earlier than that) then renamed The Arlington which converted later to being a Bistro (The Arlington West Bistro) which eventually closed. Now re-opened, after a complete redecoration, on Sunday 31st August 2014 as a Micropub with no bar counter and real ales and ciders served on gravity dispense from a temperature controlled cellar room. The room contains a single level stillage for up to 6 ale casks. Provision of meals at lunchtime is being considered.
We have visited this pub 14 times, seen 20 different beers and tried 14 of them.
