A Potterers cycle gathering - I wasn’t sure that I could make the 32 mile round trip after my exertions yesterday - but the wind helped me here and a couple of pints helped me get back home. Half a dozen of us had the raised area to the left of the bar. Friendly place.

Evening, my first visit here. We sat at a table surrounded by diners, loud talkers and for me the off-putting smell of fish. Not one to linger long at.

Lunchtime - just before 32 diners arrived apparently - but kindly fitted us in for a meal all the same. A nice feel to the place with a few drinkers at the bar. Food very nice but a bit small and pricey I thought.

Warm, cosy inside. Bleak winter solstice outside. Really nice feel to this pub.

First visit to this pub and really impressed. It seems to have the balance right between a place where locals can go for a pint, but where occasional visitors feel comfortable too. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Must go back soon.
