Very busy with late lunch diners on a Saturday afternoon.

04 Jun 2011 (Martin the Mildman)
Weltons - Chanctonbury Ring Oatmeal Stout | 5.60 | | Dark brown stout which promises more than it delivers. Rather thin with some maltiness but also some hop bitterness. The finish is dryish and fruity. My score 15/20. |

Busy mid evening on a Thursday with all seats in use.
Nethergate (was Nethergate Growler for a while then name reverted) - Mary's Ruby Mild | 4.50 | | Bittersweet strong dark mild with toasty malt flavours and a fairly bitter finish. My score 15/20. |
02 Apr 2011 (Martin the Mildman)
Busy on a Saturday lunchtime mainly with passing travellers.
Weltons - Chocolate Mild | 3.90 | | Rather disappointing in that this wasn't very chocolatey at all. Just a quite bitter, malty mild with a dryish finish. My score 15/20. |
Cairngorm - Roggen | 4.30 | | Amber brew with a rather unbalanced bitter flavour. Little maltiness evident. The finish is astringent. My score 13/20. |
01 Apr 2011 (Ian)
Always has a good spread of the festival beers on. A table of local retired blokes were singing old songs. This was at midday.
Cairngorm - Roggen | 4.30 | | Good malts, good condition. Really enormously drinkable. |
Weltons - Chocolate Mild | 3.90 | | Smoky bacon rather than chocolate for me. Fine. |
Leeds - Doubting Tom | 4.00 | | The Sorachi Ace hop on this makes it very lemony and slightly tart. |
11 Mar 2011 (Pedro)
Afternoon
Vale - Black Beauty Porter (superseded by 4.4% version) | 4.30 | | |
