How can Weatherspooms employ so many people who do so little? Early Friday evening and it took ages to get served - by someone who couldn't give a s**t. Decor is very tired and not very welcoming. And why do they put pump clips on with "coming soon"? Today it was Titanic Stout and Weltons Cocky.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Hogs Back - HOP4.60AcceptableAnother golden beer that actually tasted of hops after a disappointing Westerham SPA but still nothing to write home about.
Westerham - Black Eagle Special Pale Ale "SPA"3.80PoorA very bland golden ale that didn't really taste of anything. Most unlike a Westerham beer.

Sunday lunchtime and increasingly busy.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Westerham - Finchcocks Original3.50GoodPleasant easy drinking session beer. Plenty of bicsuity malt and soft hoppiness giving a light mild like character. My score 15/20.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Weltons - Broadwood Wassail6.00AcceptableSupposedly a stout but found it rather thin tasting and sharp. Not much roast malt flavour. My score 14/20.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Weltons - Black Turkey5.20ExcellentSmoked Porter with a good German style smoked malt flavour in a hoppy and full bodied beer. My score 16/20.
Marston's - Christmas Pudding Spiced Ale3.90AcceptableRather uninspiring with just the flavour of spices in a rather bland base beer. My score 13/20.
19 Dec 2010 (Martin the Mildman)
BeerABVScoreNotes
Thwaites - Santa's Sack4.20GoodRuby coloured bitter with a fruity and malty flavour. My score 15/20.
27 Nov 2010 (Martin the Mildman)
BeerABVScoreNotes
Weltons - St Nicklaus6.10AcceptableHoppy and spicy strong amber beer that is not really to my taste. My score 12/20.
14 Nov 2010 (Martin the Mildman)
BeerABVScoreNotes
Jersey (now called Liberation) - Liberation Ale4.00GoodLots of biscuity and grainy malt in this but also some hop bitterness in the finish. My score 15/20.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Coach House - Regency Best Bitter4.00AcceptableUnexciting bitter with some sweetness and a slightly hoppy, dry finish. My score 14/20.
07 Nov 2010 (Martin the Mildman)
BeerABVScoreNotes
Mordue - Coriander 18794.90GoodA well balanced strong bitter with good malt and hop flavours. Coriander flavour is barely noticeable. My score 15/20.
Caledonian - Heineken Flying Dutchman Junibier4.30AcceptableAmber bitter with not much flavour to speak of, a hint of sweet caramel maltiness but little hop character and a dryish finish. Rather disappointing. My score 13/20.
01 Nov 2010 (Martin the Mildman)
BeerABVScoreNotes
Batemans - Wheat Dreams4.60AcceptableMalty amber brew with little to give it away as a wheat beer. Usual trademark Batemans peppery/cardboard malt taste. My score 14/20.
