BeerABVScoreNotes
Orkney (Sinclair) - Dark Island4.60ExcellentI think this was fairly well down the cask as it had picked up a sort of underlying fruitcake taste, but still dominated by the rich roast maltiness characteristic of this beer. My score 16/20.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Three Castles - Saxon Archer4.00AcceptableA bitter beer, mainly from malt with a dry, hoppy bitterness in the finish. My score 12/20 and B quality as it was slightly hazy.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Caledonian - Nectar4.30AcceptableSlight hint of honey beneath general bitterness from both hop and malt. Dry, bitter finish. My score 14/20.
Weltons - Gazza4.70PoorVery bitter to the point of being phenolic. Little balance of flavours and a sharp bitter finish. My score 9/20.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Westerham - Special Bitter Ale "1965"5.00GoodNow shown at 4.8% on pumpclip. A fruity and full bodied premium bitter with good malt and hop balance. My score 15/20.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Weltons - Pele's Pint4.60AcceptablePale wheat beer that is fairly cloudy. Quite hoppy with a slight wheaty sourness in the finish. My score 14/20.
05 Jun 2010 (Martin the Mildman)
Very busy pre Saturday lunchtime with a queuing system to get to the bar!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Rooster's - Elmwood G.C.B.3.70GoodVery pale and refreshing citrussy beer. Good balance of citrus hop and sweetish malt. My score 15/20.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Moorhouse's - Amber Rambler4.80GoodTraditional premium bitter with good balance of malt and hop. My score 15/20.
Shepherd Neame - Goose Island Honkers Ale4.20AcceptableNot overly impressed with this, amber in colour with a lot of bitterness, some from amber/crystal malt and a dryish, sharp finish. My score 13/20.
11 Apr 2010 (Martin the Mildman)
BeerABVScoreNotes
BrewDog - Trashy Blonde4.10ExcellentCitrus flavours of marmalade dominate with a full bodied and hoppy finish. My score 16/20.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Hook Norton - Early Mist4.30AcceptableServed far too cold here, so much so that I thought the haze indicated a wheat beer until it warmed up and cleared. Otherwise an uninspiring pale brew with some hop bitterness. My score 14/20 (B quality).
07 Mar 2010 (Martin the Mildman)
BeerABVScoreNotes
Clark's (sometimes shown as Westgate Brewery) - Classic Blonde3.90AcceptableQuite a grassy, almost piney hop taste to this, rather dominant to the exclusion of any other flavours. My score 14/20.
