Final stop of a day out using the number 8 bus route and a bit of walking. We sat in the left hand side and soaked up the atmosphere.

4 pm, quiet. I am off to check on part of my patch of Sustrans National Cycle Route 1 with my trusty secateurs. The Tallis isn't quite on the route but near enough to mark this new adventure!

The pub is found in Canterbury, Kent, CT1 1BE.

Alehouse in Northgate in an attractive and historic ancient half-timbered building which opened on Tuesday 22nd March 2016. There are 2 rooms at the front separated by a low doorway, the left hand one of which has a log burning stove. There is a rear room with low tables and chairs and some sofas. Generally at seat service applies here and the cask ales and ciders are served under gravity dispense from a temperature controlled cellar room at the back. 10 taps on the outside wall of the cellar room dispense KeyKeg beers. All beers and ciders are listed on a large blackboard on the wall partition between the front rooms. Will inevitably be arguments as to whether this is a Micropub or not. Owned by the same individual as The Just Reproach in Deal.

We have visited this pub 40 times, seen 79 different beers and tried 39 of them.
