Early evening visit, my first to this Micropub. Very friendly and inclusive in all ways albeit the pub is quite difficult to find initially. Started to fill up for a pub quiz with some rather demanding questions. I was shown the various sparklers and creamers that may be added (or not) to the handpumps depending on each brewer's recommendation. Nice touch is to have dual taps on ale casks allowing for either handpump or gravity dispense. 14 ciders / perries on offer and clearly popular.

I had sampled this with creamer on handpump and from gravity and plumped for my pint on gravity and it was superb

A Kent outfit from Woodchurch that I had not heard of before. Has supplied here with several beers to date. The pub was crowing that this was its 100th cask to go on sale since it opened

Afternoon visit and fairly busy, we had a good chat with the owner.
Micropub in Trafalgar Court, West Street which opened on 21st October 2016, a fitting day in nautical history. A two roomer specialising in real ales sold through 4 handpumps. A large range of ciders / perries are sold on gravity dispense from a temperature controlled cellar room. If you ask bar staff then your real ale may be sold on gravity dispense from the cellar room too as each cask is equipped with a dual tap. A mixture of high and low hand crafted wooden benches and tables. The décor is mainly along a lifeboat and nautical theme. Local CAMRA branch Pub of the Year 2018, 2019 and again in 2020. CAMRA East Kent Pub of the Year 2019. CAMRA Kent Regional Pub of the Year 2019.
We have visited this pub 25 times, seen 83 different beers and tried 48 of them.
