Mostly dog owners so a relaxed atmosphere. Plus 6dN Gatherum.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Cromarty - Raptor5.50AcceptableVary bitter. Asked the barman if it was supposed to be hazy. He didn't know. Tasted ok but Simcoe and Eukanot are not a happy combination.
Windswept - 18065.00Not Tried
Burnside - Flints Gold4.10Not Tried
29 Sep 2023 (McGargle)
Poets day and very busy so we sat outside. 6dN Gatherum on cask.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Windswept - Hurricane4.50GoodSurprisingly malty with a hefy and slightly unbalanced hop kick.
Loch Lomond - Draff4.70Not Tried
20 Sep 2023 (McGargle)
Only two 6dN cask beers. Gatherum and Velodrome. No guests.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Pilot - Mochaccino Milk Stout5.50AcceptableQuite sweet with plenty of vanilla and cacao nibs. A strong milk stout (keg) and not really to my taste.
31 Aug 2023 (McGargle)
All change. Rob, the bar manager, has gone off to work at the 6°N brewery. The new bar manager is Robbie who used to be head chef.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Timothy Taylor - Landlord4.30GoodAs it should be.
Orkney (Sinclair) - Dark Island4.60Not Tried
Burnside - Chain & Anchor4.20Not Tried
24 Aug 2023 (McGargle)
New staff behind the bar struggling to get WiFi working. Only one guest in a sea of cask and keg 6DN beers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Stewart - Citra Blonde4.00AcceptableNothing wrong with the serve but it pales (no pun) in comparison to say Jarl or Oakham Citra.
06 Dec 2022 (McGargle)
BeerABVScoreNotes
Windswept - 18065.00GoodTypical roasty Scottish stout.
Stewart - 185.60UndrinkableSour. Either it had gone off or had not been pulled through. In either case it was undrinkable.
29 Sep 2022 (McGargle)
Busy. Perhaps short staffed but service was a bit slow and sullen.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Loch Lomond - Southern Summit4.00AcceptableUnremarkable.
Cromarty - Brewed Awakening4.70Not Tried
Cromarty - Hit The Lip3.80Not Tried
07 Jul 2022 (McGargle)
Quiet inside but absolute racket from pnuematic drill along the harbour piers. You wonder why they choose the peak holiday season for heavy civil work. Also 6DN Criterium, a slight rough and ready 7.3% West Coast IPA.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Fyne - Jarl3.80GoodVery fresh. Struggled to fill the glass.
Stewart - 80/-4.40Not Tried
Arbor Ales - You May Say I'm a Dreamer4.60Not Tried
13 Jun 2022 (McGargle)

BeerABVScoreNotes
