25 May 2012 (Stephen Harris)
I rushed here straight after work to see the last 40 minutes of the Trent Bridge Test Match on TV. Not so busy as other pubs in the area, as people were gravitating to pubs with more in the way of outside standing space, given the hot weather.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Saltaire - Dark Matter3.80GoodDark, dry, smooth and fairly bitter mild.
Potbelly - Bellowhead Hedonism4.50GoodA very pale, crisply hoppy beer.
Brewshed - American Blonde5.50GoodA golden-coloured beer with a bitter hop character.

Cliff Quay - Roaring Forties4.00ExcellentSmooth, weel rounded amber bitter with a biscuity malt character and a sweetish, fruity finish. My score 16/20.
30 Apr 2012 (Stephen Harris)
Very crowded – as one of the few pubs in the area with Sky TV, people were taking up their positions an hour before kick-off of the televised Manchester derby. So crowded in fact that we were not able to see the full range of beers available and just grabbed a couple of random halves then moved on.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Cliff Quay - Roaring Forties4.00GoodAn amber-coloured beer with biscuit-malt and citrusy hop. Cleary good, but not in great condition here unfortunately.
Tipple's - The Hanged Monk3.80AcceptableA black mild with a roasted barley taste, spoiled by being served very ‘green’, with the full flavour undeveloped. Possibly fruity.
27 Apr 2012 (HSB)
Late afternoon so starting to get busy.
