Saturday lunchtime.Probably not the youngest today,excepting the labs.Good discussion about placenames and George Cole.I could have called in on a beer festival,but was in need of a relaxing half hour.

Saturday morning in the public bar. I was the youngest there (apart from the black lab),and I've drunk here since 1972. I enjoyed a pint of Dr Rudi from an unascertained local brewery,which I scored at 3.5.

The public bar was shut this Saturday lunchtime.Sat on the bench in the saloon with some other refugees.Rumour has it that Harveys will be stocked-not a the cost of the interesting Kent Beers, I hope.

The pub is found in Biddenden, Kent, TN27 8LW.
The pub is found on the road between Sissinghurst and Biddenden. During the Seven Years War (1756-1763) it is said that up to 3,000 French prisoners were kept at nearby Sissinghurst Castle. The French seamen were placed on parole in the surrounding area and were allowed out as far as the pub building. At the time locals referred to this as the 'Three Wents' (or three ways) but the prisoners called it Les Trois Chemins. The unique name of the Three Chimneys therefore derives from the French term for the junction of three roads.
