After our failed visit on Sunday we were relieved to find it open on a Tuesday. Only half a dozen in but still had a jovial atmosphere, sank a couple and then headed onward.

I used to come here to play pool when I was 17 and this is the first time I've been back since. This is a great pub, really eccentric interior and a great atmosphere to the place.

A busy Wednesday afternoon. The girl behind the bar told me that the Tsar Top had sold extremely well, and they hoped to get some more.

Mid afternoon, and busy with a good mix of people. For once I did not play the 2p fruit machine.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Tsar Top8.00ExcellentWow, I did not expect to find this in here. A Russian Stout with the aroma and taste of the Russian Stouts that I used to purchase in Courage pubs.

A busy Wednesday afternoon. I managed to lose 4p on the fruit machine, and had a chat with the bar staff about brewery artifacts.

A late afternoon visit, the pub was busy with customers both inside, and outside enjoying the rare late September sunshine. I lost all my 2p pieces in a Bally electro-mechanical one armed bandit, and 1d in a Allwin wall machine.
