The weather forecast was for a sunny afternoon, well they got that wrong and I had no option but to shelter from the downpour in here. I enjoyed a beer in a good atmosphere and built up an appetite for a visit to the nearby CCCP restaurant.

After the disastrous visit to the Artillery we bolted down here as it's a safe bet Dogbolter in beautiful condition will be on offer. Pub was busy and the beer line-up was good, The Rose saves the day again.

A most enjoyable visit, I chatted with some locals about the Brown Jug at Dumpton Park, and looked at some old photographs of Ramsgate. There was a choice of three Gadds' beers on today.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Black Pearl Oyster Stout6.20ExceptionalFantastic, at 6.2% I decided to only have a half of this but it was so good that I quickly followed it up with a second half. Very good value at £3 per pint.

Knowing they pretty much always have dogbolter on means whenever I fancy a strong dark beer I'm going to be heading in their direction. Had a chat with some of the locals about such things as tattoos, tunnels and dodgy politicians.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - DogBolter Dark Porter5.60ExcellentExcellent as ever, so good it seemed rude not to have another.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 54.40Not Tried
Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter3.70Not TriedApparently they don't want to sell it but a few locals complain whenever it's not on.

fancied a pint in more peaceful surroundings and also fancied a stout, where better than here? Only 4 others in but still the usual friendly vibe.

Hoping to find a different stout on but unlucky this time round. Really busy for a Thursday night, seems like the local camra lot are starting to discover this place as well.

Popped in for a quick one before going to see a band. This place seems to have a good number of core regulars who all seem to have their own drinks. Great pub.

Once again the pub was busy on a Friday night so they're doing something right. Only stayed for a couple before making the misguided decision of heading over to Broadstairs.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - DogBolter Dark Porter5.60ExcellentDidn't seem as thick and black as usual but it still tasted fantastic.
