Total experience of well chilled real ale and a warm welcome from guv'nors Penny & Trevor. No music, tv's or lager, just wonderful conversation.rnAles are maily kentish with a few guest beers from out of county. Also Kentish ciders and cheese boards to die for, with local kentish cheeses. An amazing piece of artwork is on the wall in the Bouncing Barrel too!rnThey can be found on facebook too! https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Bouncing-Barrel/487985854571936?fref=ts
Dark Star - American Pale Ale (some has also been brewed by Fuller's) | 4.70 | | A beautifully finished pale ale that was emptied at a rate of knots! |
Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Copper Top | 4.10 | | A well rounded ale that gives all that one could wish for. |
Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Silver Top | 4.50 | | A dark, stoutlike ale that leaves one wanting another... so we did! |
Canterbury Brewers - Foundry Man's Gold | 4.00 | | This ale went out the door faster than it came in!... A fabulous ale that was finished far to quickly! |
Kent - Bramling Cross Single Hop | 4.50 | | A totally refreshing ale! |
Goacher's - Fine Light Ale | 3.70 | | A great session ale with a nice light, but slightly citrus taste. |
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 7 | 3.80 | | Another perfect session ale that is full of flavour. |

Midday visit, and a small gathering is present – the topic of conversation being Second World War artillery. I could add nothing on the subject, so found a perch to the side of the stillage and away from the chat. And, joy of joys, there is a pie and mash shop nearby – so that was lunch sorted.
Kent - Bramling Cross Single Hop | 4.50 | | Golden. Fruity (blackberry) and spicy hop tastes. |
Goacher's - Real Mild Ale | 3.40 | Not Tried | |

Evening. 1st visit for my colleague and I. Most warm welcome and enthusiasm from the owners is very obvious. Goody's Ales personnel came in to drink near our leaving time.

Hopdaemon - Golden Braid | 3.70 | | Lacking body and a little flat |
