Evening. Longer stay than usual as conversation and beer merged into a most pleasant visit. Lots of talk of the pub's coach trip on the Monday to Micropubs in Tankerton, Herne Bay and Sittingbourne and of the next day's sore heads.

Evening. Guv Ray was in high dudgeon as he had put an iffy cask of Derventio Brewery beer on sale, we had tasters and agreed with him about its iffiness but that did not cheer him up.

Mighty Oak - Kings (was 3.9% before 2013) | 4.20

Evening. Pub had taken a beer bashing earlier with fans before and after Welling United v. Luton Town FA Cup (2-1) The FA Cup with Budweiser match. Still packed and not a tad of Budweiser evident in any form. Suggest all you readers pack in on non match days - give it a try.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Seasider | 4.30
Kent - Session Pale | 3.70
09 Oct 2013 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening until close.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Green Hop Ale (2013) | 4.80 | | Just not quite the first 5* mark that Guv Ray craves. Even a 20p bribe could not move me - my price was beer for life! |
Kent - Pale | 4.00 | | |
Adnams - Broadside | 4.70 | Not Tried
14 Sep 2013 (Philip Pirrip)

Hammerpot - HPA | 4.10 | | |
Triple fff - Elder Skelter | 3.70
Loddon - Gravesend Shrimpers Bitter | 4.10 | Not Tried
12 Jul 2013 (Stephen Harris)
An excellent little pub. Very busy in the early evening and one way or another I seemed to know most of the people here – either having a pre-match pint before seeing Leyton Orient play up the road at Welling United, or popping in after visiting the busy beer festival over the road at the Guy, Earl of Warwick (for which I did not have sufficient time).
Kent - Bramling Cross Single Hop | 4.50 | | Hoppy, golden pint with some summer fruit tastes. |
Salisbury - English Ale | 4.10 | | Dark copper-coloured, traditional bitter. |
Teignworthy - Spring Tide | 4.30 | Not Tried
Kent - Black Gold | 4.00 | Not Tried | Ran out. |
