Not to busy mid afternoon, came in to see if any of my short listed beer festival beers were on. Found two of them so a good result.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Shepherd Neame - Central City Red Racer IPA6.50ExcellentVery nice, good malt base perfectly balanced by the hops, good finish, super. Despite the 6.5% this beer is so, so drinkable.
Batemans - Good George Pacific Pearl5.50GoodNice dark IPA, a bit to much of the darkside perhaps, coffee and roast but still good.

Looking for something good from the beerfest, a bit underwhelmed by the choice.
BeerABVScoreNotes
JW Lees (see also Lees) - Moonraker6.50ExcellentLovely, rich dark, smooth and sweet.

In Canterbury with a few minutes to spare and remembered spoons had their autumn beer festival on so decided to take a look. Not many people in tonight, still early though. Only listing the beer I tried.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Adnams - Avery 3 Point 5 Session Ale3.50ExcellentNice hoppy American ale, copper colour, thin white head. Hops strong but not harsh, could have drunk several of these, a bit lacking on the finish perhaps.

Dropped by for a swift half on my lunch break. Good line-up of beer and the pub was quite busy, I love Wetherspoons.

Fairly quiet mid afternoon. I had set out to find a spoons with the Stone San Diego Session IPA on,and here it was first stop.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wadworth - Stone Brewing San Diego Session IPA4.50ExceptionalWow, I could smell the hop aroma just carrying the glass to the table. Super hop aroma, just like crushing a hop cone in your hand. Stunning hop taste with a long bitter finish, maybe very slightly harsh but still a super pint if you like overwhelming hops.
