This place has stopped doing food (apart from crisps et cetera) and has applied for retrospective planning permission for use as a pub.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Moor - Raw4.30ExcellentIn good condition but not really my sort of beer.

Fairly quiet but much interes in the forthcoming general election.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Thornbridge / Thornbridge Hall - Made North3.80GoodNot to my taste.

Afternoon visit on a very hot day but thankfully the skies were darkening and getting ready for some welcome rain. Steve showed me a video clip of his recent wedding whilst I was drinking my beer, on the basis that apart from Wetherspoons there was nowhere else in town where I could guarantee a decent pint of cask ale I stayed of a second pint.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Romney Marsh - Session IPA3.80ExcellentA good traditional pint with considerably more flavour than many 3.8% beers.

Friday evening, conversation was mostly about driving mini cars (Austin and BMW) but one lady changed the subject to London Overground's Class 710 trains, much more interesting.

Saturday evening and busy. Steve was having a weekend off and a young couple were managing the place tonight. A few changes since my last visit, namely the toilets have been relocated upstairs and the food menu has completely changed.

Midday visit a few others in, friendly welcome as always here. We met up with the rest of our group to kick off ChrisE's 17 and 3/4 birthday crawl.

Tuesday evening and I was very disappointed to find that there was no cask beer available, evidently the new range of various keg type beers are so popular that just one cask ale will now be available from Thursday lunch time until Sunday or earlier if it runs out. I was very surprised to find that Steve is now giving 20p Camra discount on the keg beers. I sampled a half pint of one of the available beers (I can't remember what it was called) and found it to be horribly over carbonated. Not to my taste at all.

Afternoon visit and a good chat with Steve who has now added ten keg beer lines. The original plan for everything to made in Kent has been relaxed a bit as about half of these kegs are brewed outside of the County. Two casks on sale today, the other one was from Kent Brewery but I can't remember which one it was.

The pub is found in Ashford, Kent, TN23 1JJ.

This pub opened on 27 July 2018 in a former music shop in New Rents. There is seating in the bar area and a separate room to the rear plus a patio area at the back of the pub. Originally all beers were sourced from local breweries and dispensed by gravity from a stillage behind the bar but since then 10 keg lines have been added too and supply may be from outside the local area. A refurbishment took place during March 2020 and beer is now served through a handpump. Refurbishment during 2021 added further lines so now offering 23 beers on KeyKeg/keg, one cask beer on handpump and half a dozen ciders. Card payment only, no cash. Since autumn 2021 there was a second pub in this chain, in Maidstone which subsequently closed. Closed in May 2023 citing lack of viability. Re-opened 2024 with new name but seemingly as a keg house.

We have visited this pub 60 times, seen 56 different beers and tried 47 of them.
