Jane and I came for the beer festival at about 7:30pm. It was pretty busy with about half the people outside and half in the pub. There were 3 beers on in the pub and about 10 on gravity outside. We sat inside as it was cold and then wandered out periodically to get another beer. As the sun went down the dull light illuminating the marquee became even eerier as it mixed with the cold mist and the smoke from the hog roast. Added to this was the 60's psychedelic vibe of a man on the bongos and his acoustic guitar playing sidekick. An enjoyable, if a little odd, night.

Formerly The Rose, situated in Willesborough in Silver Hill Road, on the way to William Harvey Hospital, this is a lovely pub on the inside. Lots of original wooden beams, uneven floors and open fireplace. Large, pretty garden too. Food is American and there are 3 handpumps on the bar. Seriously damaged by fire on Sunday 27th November 2016 and reopened mid March 2018.

We have visited this pub 107 times, seen 105 different beers and tried 58 of them.
