Early evening on a frosty Sunday.A pleasant buzz of people enjoying good food and beer.I listened to a rather enthusiastic gentleman extol the virtues of Snow Top:stout fellow.

We came for a meal in the "Green Room".Good value food, well presented.
Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Snow Top | 6.00 |  | Plenty of hops, but not bitter.Malt but not cloying. Peppermint, red currant.Deep ruby.If I drink a better winter warmer this year I'd be surprised. Belies its strength.More good stuff from just down the road. |

Ten o'clock on a damp Saturday evening.The pub was buzzing with contented customers; I'd come to pick up our daughter from work.Van Morrison on the 'speakers. Good pub.

Fairly quiet on a sunny February Saturday lunchtime:I sat in the window seat listening to a group of elderly gents discussing buses and Roman roads. Velvet Underground on the speakers. Good pub.

Early doors on a Saturday lunchtime.A crowd of Cockney golfers at the bar. I'd been to buy a tree for the garden, and had to come in to celebrate.
Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Copper Top | 4.10 |  | A tawney toffee malt based dark bitter in the Late Red/Incubus style.Poured a bit cloudy, but tasted fine. I could happily have drunk more of this. |
