Very busy in the restaurant area with a preponderance of the more mature age group as I visited with my wife and two friends for our lunchtime feast. As usual we were not disappointed with the quality and value of our meal and really enjoyed the Beef in Newcastle Ale (yes, the management still foster their Toon roots!) main course. A friendly atmosphere once again.

The pub is found in Brook, Kent, TN25 5PG.

Allegedly built in 1609 this is an ancient house located in The Street. In 1804, the house was given the title the "Honest Miller", the significance of which dates back to the Saxons when a miller cheated the Romans by giving them a short measure. His ears were cut off as a penance and warning to others. After this millers not wishing to fall into the same category as their luckless and earless colleague hung a sign stating they were "Honest Millers". The pub has had many owners over the years. Re-opened in July 2024 after a period of 4 years or so of closure and changing ownership. Early signs are that it might not be selling cask ales.

We have visited this pub 86 times, seen 36 different beers and tried 28 of them.
