Quite busy with eaters and drinkers as I arrived with my wife and 2 friends for our lunchtime meal which once again was excellent. As usual the atmosphere was very friendly and the publican was in good form despite his football team's poor result last night.

When I arrived with my wife and 2 friends for our usual lunchtime meal it was quite quiet but was somewhat busier by the time we left. The Moroccan lamb dish was very tasty.

It was quite busy on this hot day when I visited with my wife and 2 friends for our regular lunchtime get together. Excellent meal once again although there was a marginal increase in the cost of it.

Unusually for my wife and two friends we arrived on a Friday to find the pub was having one of its quieter lunchtimes. However the food was up to its usual standard.

This pub seems to be flourishing at the lunchtimes when I tend to visit. There were a few in the garden but many more inside today, and I enjoyed yet another great meal with my wife and 2 friends.

Arrived with my wife and friends for our usual lunchtime meal which was once again excellent. There were not many there when we arrived but it soon filled up and the atmosphere was very cordial despite the Geordie landlord's football team having been relegated from the Premiership on Sunday. He was bearing up well - it was his Birthday!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Hop Back - Crop Circle4.20GoodThis ale was light in colour, but quite strong, and was a satisfying drink.

The pub is found in Brook, Kent, TN25 5PG.

Allegedly built in 1609 this is an ancient house located in The Street. In 1804, the house was given the title the "Honest Miller", the significance of which dates back to the Saxons when a miller cheated the Romans by giving them a short measure. His ears were cut off as a penance and warning to others. After this millers not wishing to fall into the same category as their luckless and earless colleague hung a sign stating they were "Honest Millers". The pub has had many owners over the years. Re-opened in July 2024 after a period of 4 years or so of closure and changing ownership. Early signs are that it might not be selling cask ales.

We have visited this pub 86 times, seen 36 different beers and tried 28 of them.
