Quite busy both inside and out at lunchtime when we went for a meal. We enjoyed our visit and it was good to see the chef/owner as we had heard that there was to be a change of management.

Very busy in the restaurant area for our lunchtime visit where we had an enjoyable meal,

A few diners in. I got to use my dry wit on the barmaids who seemed to enjoy it. Guinness promotion for St Patricks day and as I havent had one in ages I had a pint. Its cold and bland but fine. some roastyness

brilliantly bright November sunshine. so warm you could sit in the garden by the river. still a classic kent pub.

After going to see Skyfall at the cinema we came to the Trout for a bit of reality. They have a TV in there now and it was showing Dad's Army. It was a bit of a contrast to Bond seeing Warmington on Sea's Home Guard get outwitted by a chicken. Anyway, the Trout is much like the Trout has always been.

The pub is found in Wye, Kent, TN25 5EB.
Once called the Victoria this is a large detached pub on the banks of the River Stour near Wye railway station. The garden runs down to the river and is very busy in the summer. Lots of tables for food consumption. 4 handpumps on the bar counter.
