A very warm sunny day but we decided to shelter inside for our lunchtime meal with my very elderly aunt. The place was very busy but we had a very good meal with good service.

Met up with Andrew for old times sake and to go through the entrails of the wedding we went to on Friday. Enjoyed myself.

My wife and I thought that we ought to try out the 2 main course for £12 option at lunchtime today. There were a few others there and we quite enjoyed the meal. The new owner, who had opened his tenure here 6 weeks ago, came round and chatted which was nice to see.

Visited about 8:30pm and it wasn't very busy, which was a good thing as there seemed to be only 1 person behind the bar. 2 of the 4 pumps clips were turned round so only 2 beers on. The real fire was nice but I can't say the general experience was very atmospheric.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Timothy Taylor - Landlord4.30AcceptableNot a great pint; a bit cold and a bit too frothed up. However, you could tell they'd once been a good pint there.
