Considerably more relaxed in here than the Waterloo Tap was earlier.
BeerABVScoreNotes

A late-evening visit almost until closing time. Full of locals and regulars at this time rather than shoppers and travelers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Tap East - Experimental Belgian Pale4.50GoodA new beer launched tonight and unrelated to former Belgian Pales brewed here. Cloudy gold. Belgian yeast flavours and subtle hops.
Tap East - Dandy Cellarman5.50GoodUsually only available from keg; this pint from the one and only cask produced. A Pilsner-style Lager, well hopped with Mandarina.

Evening visit whilst waiting for a train. Music was being played at an uncomfortably high volume which spoiled my enjoyment and probably accounted for the pub not being as busy as I have found it on previous visits. Certainly if this trend continues I will opt to use the dry waiting room on the platform in future.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Tap East - Smokestack Porter6.00ExcellentA good beer to finish off the evening.
16 Aug 2018 (Stephen Harris)
A quick stop whilst passing through on the way home. Unusually quiet for a Thursday evening.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Little Critters - Nutty Ambassador6.00ExcellentStrong and sweet and dark and nutty.

Not so busy, but it looks as if it must have been earlier as there are empty glasses and detritus everywhere – the whole place looks like it needs a good scrub.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Atom - Jennsen’s Law3.50GoodPuzzlingly described as a ‘Table Beer’, this turns out to be an amber-coloured, spiced Witbier.
Alechemy - Blood Orange Shake3.90AcceptableVery sharp orange flavours. Too sharp for me.
Tap East - Tonic Ale3.00Not Tried
Dark Revolution - Velveteen4.80Not Tried

Mid-evening. Busier than it often is on a Sunday evening. Lots of red faces, many people having been sitting in the sun watching hockey.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ilkley - Tribus Lupulus v3.74.40ExceptionalA very fine beer. Golden and with a really good hop balance, featuring Ekuanot, Columbus and hbc 472. Ilkley seem to be on great form at the moment.

Tap East - IPA6.00ExcellentAs good as ever.
Bone Machine (originally cuckooed at Turning Point) - Estas Loco4.50ExcellentI didn’t note it, but I’ve a feeling this one was from a keg of some sort. Hazy gold. Chilli, lime, salt. Excellent.

07 Jul 2018 (Magnus Greel)
Mid evening fairly quiet, plenty of space to sit and watch the dying moments of Russia v Croatia. If only all operating theatres had bars in them, it would make the thought of being carved up far more appealing although the bar was filthy as was the barrel top we sat at to which my stool was broken which may have been a problem had I been more inebriated.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Alchemy - Tropic Shake4.00AcceptableI was expecting this warm sweet flat hazy beer to be bursting with flavours instead had a slight honey taste.
