Cycled here after a seriously busy day. Everybody seemed to be sitting outside in the evening sun, so I sat inside alone in the cool.

Grand opening with new owners, came along to see if real ale was on offer as this is now my nearest pub. Packed tonight, let's hope it continues to prosper.
Black Sheep - Best Bitter | 3.80 | | Very nice, typical Yorkshire bitter. |
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | | Reasonable pint but much to cold, lacking that distinctive Harveys edge |
Badger (Hall & Woodhouse) - Flowers Original (subsequently contract brewed at Brains) | 4.40 | | Dark and malty, a nice pint. |
Eagle (formerly Wells & Young's, formerly Charles Wells, formerly Wells) - Wells Bombardier (now superseded by 4.1% version) | 4.30 | | Good pint of this rich malty beer. |
14 Dec 2008 (James)
Called in for a couple of quiet Sunday night beers with a friend. The place was fairly quiet but had a good atmosphere.
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | | This was probably the best pint of beer I’ve ever had in the Black Robin. Absolutely bursting with taste and extremely drinkable, as a result a couple of pints turned into several! |
Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30 | Not Tried
09 Dec 2008 (James)
Called in for a quick one on the way home, it was getting late so not many people in, only a few locals. Still nice atmosphere though.
Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30 | | A nice fresh pint, had all the tastes you would expect from a good pint of landlord. |
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | Not Tried
07 Dec 2008 (James)
Called in for a quick couple before tea. The place was quite busy with a good atmophere.

Busy with a good atmosphere, had a chat with one of the new owners who has lots of community oriented plans for the place.
Eagle (formerly Wells & Young's, formerly Charles Wells, formerly Wells) - Wells Bombardier (now superseded by 4.1% version) | 4.30 | | I don’t often have this on drought so it was a nice change. Good full bodied taste, not a bad pint. |

Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30 | Not Tried
26 Nov 2008 (James)
In for the usual Wednesday night drink & bite to eat. The pub has changed hands again for the better it seems. The atmosphere was very nice and the shop appears to have been moved to a much more practical place near the road with its own entrance.
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | | Had a faint soapy-ish taste that seemed to mute some of the tastes that you would expect, it still had the hoppyness. That said, you could still taste it was Sussex best, not a bad pint. |
Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried
Belhaven - Caledonian Deuchars IPA | 3.80 | Not Tried
Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30 | Not Tried
