Cycled here after a seriously busy day. Everybody seemed to be sitting outside in the evening sun, so I sat inside alone in the cool.

Grand opening with new owners, came along to see if real ale was on offer as this is now my nearest pub. Packed tonight, let's hope it continues to prosper.

Called in for a couple of quiet Sunday night beers with a friend. The place was fairly quiet but had a good atmosphere.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00ExcellentThis was probably the best pint of beer I’ve ever had in the Black Robin. Absolutely bursting with taste and extremely drinkable, as a result a couple of pints turned into several!

Called in for a quick one on the way home, it was getting late so not many people in, only a few locals. Still nice atmosphere though.

Busy with a good atmosphere, had a chat with one of the new owners who has lots of community oriented plans for the place.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Eagle (formerly Wells & Young's, formerly Charles Wells, formerly Wells) - Wells Bombardier (now superseded by 4.1% version)4.30GoodI don’t often have this on drought so it was a nice change. Good full bodied taste, not a bad pint.

In for the usual Wednesday night drink & bite to eat. The pub has changed hands again for the better it seems. The atmosphere was very nice and the shop appears to have been moved to a much more practical place near the road with its own entrance.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00GoodHad a faint soapy-ish taste that seemed to mute some of the tastes that you would expect, it still had the hoppyness. That said, you could still taste it was Sussex best, not a bad pint.
