Busy with a good atmosphere, had a chat with one of the new owners who has lots of community oriented plans for the place.
| Eagle (formerly Wells & Young's, formerly Charles Wells, formerly Wells) - Wells Bombardier (now superseded by 4.1% version) | 4.30 | | I don’t often have this on drought so it was a nice change. Good full bodied taste, not a bad pint. |
| Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | Not Tried | |
| Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30 | Not Tried | |

In for the usual Wednesday night drink & bite to eat. The pub has changed hands again for the better it seems. The atmosphere was very nice and the shop appears to have been moved to a much more practical place near the road with its own entrance.
| Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | | Had a faint soapy-ish taste that seemed to mute some of the tastes that you would expect, it still had the hoppyness. That said, you could still taste it was Sussex best, not a bad pint. |
| Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried | |
| Belhaven - Caledonian Deuchars IPA | 3.80 | Not Tried | |
| Timothy Taylor - Landlord | 4.30 | Not Tried | |

Called in for the grand opening after a period of being closed for refurbishment, a small farm shop/village store has sprung up in what was the rear dining room. The pub was busier than I have ever seen it, with some new faces behind the bar.
| Badger (Hall & Woodhouse) - Tanglefoot (was 4.9%) | 4.70 | | A nice refreshing, dry, hoppy pint, had three pints before we moved on. |
| Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried | |

Walked here from the Duke in Barham, it was just after 1 but the place was almost empty, a few people were in the beer garden where we joined them.
| Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | | This is by no means my favourite beer, but it was either this or Fuller's ESB. However, this was really good. It had an unusual nettley bite and was very well served. |
| Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - ESB | 5.50 | Not Tried | |

Came here on a Friday evening for something to eat. Very friendly and the food is excellent. The pub has 2 rooms, one for drinking and one for eating but both are nicely laid up and the whole place is very atmoshperic.
| House Beer - Black Robin Bitter | 3.70 | | Good base bitterness and watery sweet malt. My guess is this is Masterbrew re-badged |
