Visits Details

08 Oct 2013 (Stephen Harris)
I managed to visit both before and after last night’s low-key cup match. Less crowded than usual and a substantially reduced beer range for the evening.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Mighty Oak - Oak Nouveau 20134.00ExcellentMighty Oak’s fresh hop beer is always keenly anticipated. Weighing in at a slightly higher strength this year.
Slater's - Smoked Porter4.80ExcellentVery smoky, black, chocolaty beer.
Mighty Oak - Oscar Wilde Mild3.70GoodUsually served here on gravity, but tonight on handpump dispense. Not sure if this was the reason, but today tasted less roasty and more winey.
Slater's - Top Totty4.00GoodA golden beer. I’ve not drunk this for a while, and it was somehow not as good as I remember it.
Slater's - Premium4.40Not Tried
RedWillow - Endless3.80Not TriedRan out very quickly.

It is the night of the annual Marble Brewery showcase at the Club. Doors opened at 5pm. I get here at 6:30 and it is already crowded and the beer is flowing.
