Popped in for Sunday lunch, once again impressed with the ale line up. The landlady informed me the ale is selling so well a 5th pump should soon be installed.

Heard this place was back open after being shut for some time. It is now open as a free house and has had some much needed renovation. It has four hand pumps and a fifth being installed. Popped my head in to have a quick look & I will be back soon to sample the wares.

15:15 visit. Back again to check it out. Sadly, due to lack of custom, Shep's are pulling the plug on this old pub. No Real Ales for some time now and most of the stock is being run down. Future uncertain according to the managers son. The Guinness was still on though, so not all bad!

Now downhill, all the way back to Town on the bike. Heaven? Stopped here, my first time, and, disappointed to find no ales on at all and no customers either for this 1900 visit? Had a pint of Stout and a bag of C&O for £4.50? Because they normally sell the excellant Bishops Finger, I shall need to review this place again.
