Late afternoon visit and this large pub is pretty quiet. The beers tried were in excellent condition.
North Cotswold - Hung, Drawn 'N' Portered5.00ExcellentA black porter with a tan-coloured head. Good condition brought out a richness in the malt, with smooth chocolate tastes and a little bit of roast barley.
North Cotswold - Shagweaver4.50GoodAmber coloured. Nice pacific hop flavours. Quite dry.

Quite busy late on a Friday afternoon.
Banks's - Ruby Mild3.90ExcellentSweet and malty ruby mild with very little hop. The finish is dryish and fruity. My score 16/20.

Summary of Beer Scores

The pub is found in Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX16 5LA.

Earlier style of Wetherspoon pub with lots of wood and alcoves. Seems to be a high turnover of real ales here. Located in High Street this Wetherspoon pub is Banbury's former head post office. The premises were rebuilt in 1936, when the telephone exchange was added, giving the building its present name. Closed for refurbishment during summer 2017.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 7 different beers and tried 3 of them.
