Early evening on a very hot Saturday in town. We welcomed the air conditioning and the big leather sofa after a few hours walking around gardens. £6.50 a pint now for premium strength ales, ESB etc.

By far the most enjoyable pub of the evening, unfortunately I arrived at 21:30 hoping to have some food to accompany my drink but the information on What Pub was out of date (since updated) and the kitchen currently closes at 21:00. I would have stayed longer but I moved on in search of something to eat.

My train from Berwick upon Tweed was forty minutes late which meant that I have about £30 Delay Hooray money to come and I popped in here to spend some of it. I noticed that a huge beer list is now on display behind the bar clearly showing the abv and price of each beer, something I approve of. The full detailed price list is still on display at the left of the bar. A trainee member of staff poured me a very short pint, but topped it up when I requested it, I think it was probably her first day with a busy Friday evening to look forward to. I have not listed all the beers but did note that London Pride was a "coming soon".

Just before 11 pm - I’ve never see this pub so empty. Swift pre-train half - didn’t note the other beers on.

I came in here because I fancied some decent food and this is a good place for that, I did not not note all the beers on offer but most were from the Fullers/Dark Star range. Although a busy Thursday evening the service was good (and so was the Steak & Ale Pie).

Evening visit whilst waiting for a train from nearby St. Pancras. Not as busy as I expected and Fullers/Dark Star beers dominating the beer range on offer. Good service as usual in here. I have not listed all the beers that were on offer.

Castle Rock - Session IPA 2.0v1.7 Simcoe - Ahtanum - Columbus4.00PoorTaking the letter after O at £5.25pp. Accepted as cloudy but I chewed the cud on its tastelessness which was not the clean tasting hopped beer I had had elsewhere. 2 other customers after me quickly challenged and after debate staff offered replacements (including to me) and took it off sale

Thursday evening and very busy but with a commuter crowd rather than the people with suitcases earlier in the day. I was served immediately which seems to be the norm in here. The list of beers below is done from memory and I have probably missed a few.
