We found nowhere in Vaasa more appealing than our own hotel bar, so stayed here for a few late beers, heading upstairs at around 11;30pm as the crowds were beginning to gather for the Saturday night karaoke. A wide range of mass-market beers available on keg or from the bottle.

Sinebrychoff - Karhu III4.60PoorOn keg dispense. Gold-coloured, sticky-sweet and malty.
Sinebrychoff - Koff III4.50PoorFrom a bottle. Golden, dry in comparison to other Finnish lagers. A bit of cardboard in the taste.

Very large bar associated with the Hotel Tekla in the Vaasa suburb of Palosaari. Has a large lounge bar, a TV and games room, a stage and dance-floor, a covered patio and an adjoining pizza restaurant. Karaoke is popular and the bar stays open late.

We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried them all.
