Late-afternoon and pub almost empty. I noticed that although the pub displays a Cask Marque plaque outside, the certificate is six years out of date.
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter 4.00 Not the best pint of Harvey’s I’ve ever drunk, but neither is it bad.

Early afternoon, we stopped for a late lunch. The town was almost deserted but this pub had had a very busy lunchtime. A good friendly local pub.
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter 4.00 Excellent Harveys, sometimes I think it is best to sell just one beer, and keep it well.

The pub is found in Rye , East Sussex , TN31 7EN .
The oldest pub in Rye (or so it claims) located in The Mint. This is a wonderful old 15th century pub located on the cobbled streets of Rye. Dark wood interior and bare wooden boarded floor. Limited food menu. Street corner door up some steps. 2 handpumps on bar counter. Small garden out the front.
We have visited this pub 6 times, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
