Late-afternoon and pub almost empty. I noticed that although the pub displays a Cask Marque plaque outside, the certificate is six years out of date.

Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00AcceptableNot the best pint of Harvey’s I’ve ever drunk, but neither is it bad.

Early afternoon, we stopped for a late lunch. The town was almost deserted but this pub had had a very busy lunchtime. A good friendly local pub.

Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00ExceptionalExcellent Harveys, sometimes I think it is best to sell just one beer, and keep it well.

The pub is found in Rye, East Sussex, TN31 7EN.

The oldest pub in Rye (or so it claims) located in The Mint. This is a wonderful old 15th century pub located on the cobbled streets of Rye. Dark wood interior and bare wooden boarded floor. Limited food menu. Street corner door up some steps. 2 handpumps on bar counter. Small garden out the front.

We have visited this pub 6 times, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
