We are socialising a Terrier:this entails frequent pub visits.We'd forgotten that every pub in the Kent/Sussex border zone would be rammed with families,it being Easter Saturday:eventually we pitched up here, and sat in the public bar.Mixed trade, friendly Guv.

My first visit here since Young Farmers' back in the seventies,when it was a Charrington pub.We sat at the wobbly table in the bow window in some welcome March lunchtime sun.

Evening visit as we had booked a table in the restaurant. Has been totally refurbished in the latest distressed wood, light coloured walls and Farrow and Ball paint on some woodwork. Still retains a drinking area but seems to concentrate on the dining experience. The meal was very nice but restaurant prices.
