Late afternoon - building trade enjoying the end of the working week. Pleasant enough.

Lunchtime and busy with locals and visitors alike. A good log fire made us feel very comfortable.

I like this pub. Lovely low beamed dark wood interior. I sat outside in the sun reading my Isaac Asimov.

Good cellarman works here I think as the beers are always in good nick even if they are GK. Bit of peach or rose petal. Malts are a little syrupy in mouth. It’s a little too sweet |

I had 15 minutes to kill before my train from Westenhanger station and got talking to the landlord out on the patio. They only took it over a couple of years back, improved the interior and regularly take a couple of guest beers.

Some character from the yeast showed through too. And it was in great, great condition. The landlord said it had only just come on. |

The pub is found in Stanford North, Kent, TN25 6DN.
A rather lovely pub in the small village of Stanford North not far from the M20 junction 9 off Stone Street. White washed exterior with lovely wood, low ceilings, exposed beams and centre fireplace. U shaped bar serves several drinking areas. Nice garden to rear.
We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 11 different beers and tried 6 of them.
