Lunchtime, a walk from Westenhanger Railway Station on a drizzly day but worth the effort.

Lunchtime and busy with locals and visitors alike. A good log fire made us feel very comfortable.

I like this pub. Lovely low beamed dark wood interior. I sat outside in the sun reading my Isaac Asimov.

I really like this bitter and could happily drink it all day.

I guess this is brewed for the Rugby World Cup. Gold, lasting beige head. Hoppy grassy aroma. Sweetish citrus fruits. Good cellarman works here I think as the beers are always in good nick even if they are GK. Bit of peach or rose petal. Malts are a little syrupy in mouth. It’s a little too sweet

I had 15 minutes to kill before my train from Westenhanger station and got talking to the landlord out on the patio. They only took it over a couple of years back, improved the interior and regularly take a couple of guest beers.

This was a really great session bitter. I could easily have necked it all night. It had the right balance and blend of yeast, malt and hops. Some character from the yeast showed through too. And it was in great, great condition. The landlord said it had only just come on.
The pub is found in Stanford North, Kent, TN25 6DN.
A rather lovely pub in the small village of Stanford North not far from the M20 junction 9 off Stone Street. White washed exterior with lovely wood, low ceilings, exposed beams and centre fireplace. U shaped bar serves several drinking areas. Nice garden to rear.
We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 11 different beers and tried 6 of them.
