Early evening pre-theatre visit. One of the better Shep's pubs, a nice interior and grand exterior too. Semi-circular bar, open plan with one side going toward the garden area. Decent food menu noted, friendly staff and very convenient for the Orchard Theatre and main drag shops ect.

The pub is found in Dartford, Kent, DA1 1BE.

Called the Smiths Arms until 1982, a grand old late Victorian type of pub and very convenient for the nearby Orchard Theatre and the town centre being in Hythe Street. The bar is decorated with the theatre in mind, with lots of autographed photos and posters of celebrities, some going back many years. Attractive and impressive building from the outside with a fretwork balcony running all the way around the front, tall windows, feature brickwork and original doors.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 3 different beers and tried 1 of them.
