On the dot of twelve to meet my in-laws.The pub rapidly filled up:this scribe was considerably the youngest congregant.Lovely old timbered building I'd known about for years but never visited.An archetypal beer range.

We'd been to Batemans (Rudyard Kipling’s former home) and managed to escape before we were trapped in the shuffle-zone. We came for lunch. What a lovely pub. Lots of old beams and solid wood furniture. Harvey's Old on too so that added to the general feeling that this was a good pub!
