I quite liked this place. For a High Street pub, it was a little oasis away from the shoppers. Bits of former hotel remain and there is a sense of the Edwardian around and Art Deco front windows.

Intially we sat at the front of the pub but evertime someone came in the side door they were followed by an awful stink - so we moved to the back. The beer mats were postcards so I spent most of the time writing to various people.
