My wife suggested I cycle here to try it out - bless her.
Lunchtime - a few eaters in the restaurant area. I chatted with a couple of locals and warmed myself by the log fire in the large bar area. Friendly locals and bar staff - who kindly charged my phone up.
Cellar Head - A Winter's Pale | 3.90 | | Badge said “unfined and hazy” but this was clear and very tasty, especially considering the ABV. Lovely pint. |

My first brief visit since the pub's reopening by the folk from The Milk House. Saturday lunchtime:a bit clinical.Friendly though. Trouble is, I remember this pub fondly from many years back.

We came for lunch for my dad's birthday. The food was excellent and the staff all friendly. I'm sure I've been here before, maybe 20 years ago. I have some vauge recollection of wandering out of a party down a dimly lit road so I coild get a pint and I'm sure it was here I came.

Not my visit, but my wife who went with a friend for a lunchtime meal which they found very enjoyable. The pub was quite busy, with a friendly atmosphere and good service.
