Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Hogan SamplingGood12 Oct 2024 2nd night on and with a good head and lacing. Bitter mouthfeel and little sweetness in it to spoil it for me.
Hogan SamplingExcellent11 Oct 2024 Superb head and lacing. A good old-fashioned bitter, minus the often fruitiness in them. First sip and a wonderful malty hit. Good mouthfeel of a hint of caramel with a very dry, bitter, moreish aftertaste.

HSBUndrinkable01 Sep 2015 I did not order this but two chums did and I was asked for a second opinion. Pure vinegar. Changing it for another pint was not done with good grace. New cask etc. It was noticeable that the clip was not turned round afterwards.
