Ian | | 03 Jun 2005 | Chestnut colour, slight rubbery smell, some hops leading to caramel malt flavour. Fullish in mouth, kick of alcohol, longish slightly burnt treacle finish. Okay but I like something a bit more hoppy |

Ian | | 27 Mar 2005 | Wonderful chocolatey malt on this dark brown beer |
4.80% ABV.
A rich premium strength ale, plenty of hops in the nose, and loads of rich malt flavours in the mouth, an initial sweetness is rapidly replaced by the onslaught of hops a La Freeminer style, and the beer departs leaving a complex but balanced hop and malt aftertaste. 40 EBU. .
