Ian | | 23 May 2008 | Beer of the festival. I had this 3 times at least and bottled some for the journey home. Lots of American grapefruit hop, resiny, piney and then this warming alcoholic effect. Simply gorgeous stuff. |

Ian | | 01 Feb 2008 | It was brilliant last year and it was again this year. Typical Oakhams fantastic grapefruit aroma. Just my perfect beer. |

Brian | | 02 Feb 2007 | Chestnut brown. Pine fresh aroma, back of the throat bitterness. Stunner, the best of the ales that I tried by a distance. |
Ian | | 02 Feb 2007 | As it seems to be always with me, I have an Oakham beer as the first beer of a festival and almost always ends up being beer of the festival for me. Does this one? Not sure yet. Deep chestnut colour with lasting bubbly beige head. Trademark grapefruit. Unbelievably hoppy for a British beer. Good toffeeish malt. Nice mixed finish. Grapefruit leafyness is lovely. Great resiny pine throughout. |
