Tasting Summary
These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Ian | | 17 Jan 2009 | Really lovely choc impy stout and coffee flavours/aromas, but just has an edge of diacetyl that spoils it for me. Being picky, but then that's my job. |
Dubbel | | 17 Jan 2009 | I became quite excited when this was pulled through just as we were considering heading off. Superbly crafted impy stout with roasted/burnt malts, some coffee, chocolate and black forest fruits. On reflection a second pint of it was probably a mistake. I made it home but not sure quite how. |

Blair | | 10 Apr 2009 | I seemed to be on my own, but I thought this was better than the Dark Star Imperial Stout. Incredibly rich and vibrant. Strong flavour of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Perfectly balance. Had more flavour in it's 7.7% than Dark Star did in it's 10.5%. |

Dubbel | | 05 Feb 2009 | Dark, rich, packed full of all the right flavours and just so devastatingly drinkable for its strength. Deserves every accolade coming to it. |
