Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Hogan SamplingExcellent09 Aug 2025 Head and lacing, very good, and lasting, good, on this bitter by Flower Pots Brewery based in Cheriton, Hampshire, and north-west of Petersfield in heading towards Winchester. A dry bitter first hit. A gentle malted caramel-sweetness in its bitterness rising up. An emerging hoppy bitterness winning over from its Challenger, Goldings and Northdown hops. A caramel-infused sweetness lingering and a moreishly dry bitterness sliding down my hatch. Named after the Flower Pots' farm where beer was first brewed in the 1830s.
Hogan SamplingGood05 Jul 2025 Badged as Pots Bitter by Flower Pots Brewery, based in Cheriton, Hampshire, it came with very good head and lacing and lasted well. A dry bitter first hit on this bitter from north-west of Petersfield and heading towards Winchester. A mildly malted caramel-infused sweetness in its bitterness rising up and a hoppiness pervading its aftertaste aided by its Challenger, Goldings and Northdown hops. It was named after the Flower Pots' farm where beer was first brewed in the 1830s.
