2 guests on. Had the same fish and chip meal I had in Dover poons a couple of weeks ago. A £ more here and a much smaller portion.

Mid afternoon. A quick stop to admire the superb decor here. General feeling was the beers weren’t up to much - but very cheap.

I have put this score on behalf of Dosser who is having problems logging on to this site. This is his score, not mine. He reports "Enjoyed an early evening mixed grill. 30 people well distanced and table service. 5 real ales available."

This is a wonderful building but I was disappointed to have to struggle with an obstacle course to get from the entrance to the bar as there seemed to be tables and chairs everywhere. In accordance with Spoons well publicised rules I sat at one of the vacant tables and found it to have bits of food on it and beer from glasses (no beer mats here). I waited for a while and eventually had to ask for someone to clean the table.

Early evening visit - plenty of spare tables. My first time here and I was very impressed with the sympathetic conversion - it retains a good feel of an old Picture House.
