The call of Goachers. Quite a few in. Richard was concerned about the draft - which I thought was quite pleasant, but had led him to wear a hoody.

Silver Star was on. Not my Goachers of choice, but Goachers none the less. Weren't many in as most people I guess were at home waiting for the England-Norway game to start.
| Goacher's - Silver Star | 4.20 | | Little hazy but tasted good. Not one of my favourite from the Goachers stable, but still a good beer. |
| Mighty Oak - Captain Bob | 3.80 | Not Tried | |

Late afternoon and a fair few in playing games and just generally nattering.
| Goacher's - Crown Imperial Stout | 4.50 | | Wow this is smooth, I meant neckably smooth. Still a hint too much roast on the malt but only a hint. Really drinkable. I really do love Goachers. |

I'd seen that a Kite beer was on, but by the time we got here it was off. Still, the Goachers was on!
| Goacher's - Crown Imperial Stout | 4.50 | | Smooth and less burnt than the last few times I've had it. Very nice. Had a couple. |

Crowds around the bar made ordering a chore, luckily the beer list was clearly visible above head height than relying on sighting bar level pump clips through the throngs.
| Chislet - Colliery Porter | 4.80 | | Roasted malt and subtle dark fruit aroma with smooth chocolate and toffee notes with a hint of tart plum, adding complexity finishing with a velvety, lingering bitterness. |

Late Sunday afternoon and only a handful in. Pink Floyd's Darkside of the Moon, and the Beatles Revolver on the vinyl record player. Good stuff.

Not that busy on my early evening arrival as the rest of my party were on the move while I was demolishing a plate of fish and chips a few doors along from The Pub. They had moved on to a new micropub/coffee shop further into town called the Cosmic Sailor and which opened in August 2025 by all accounts. Prompt, friendly service from the guvnor here and pleased to see a good selection of real ales including a local two to choose from. My last stop on the outing and despite the name, this is actually a micropub. A train to catch to be back at my local micro in East Greenwich before closing meant only a half possible.
| Shivering Sands - Green Hop Bitter (2025) | 4.20 | | My first tasting of a Green Hop from Shivering Sands this year from their microbrewery situated just outside Manston Airport and in a region with a long tradition of hop growing. Also referred to as the Green Goddess by the brewery in using the green hop to give the beer a grassy, earthy and citrusy flavour which I certainly detected. Very good head and lacing and lasting superbly. A fresh hoppy first hit emanating from the local Deal Hop Farm. A dry hoppy, mild bitterness rising, with its volatile oils in tact having escaped the drying process of normal hops, and gently ebbing out in the aftertaste. |
| Kent - Prohibition | 4.80 | Not Tried | |
| Shivering Sands - UPA Pale | 3.80 | Not Tried | |

| Goacher's - Best Dark Ale (aka Original) | 4.10 | | Absolutely superb |
| Goacher's - Special House Ale | 3.80 | | It wasn't on exactly, but mixing a half of light and a half of dark gets you special, and it was very special. |
