Mid afternoon to mid evening with many folk propping up the bar and a smittering outside and in the sheltered patio area in this friendly and welcoming proper 'destination' pub.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Woodforde's - Volt IPA4.50ExceptionalRefreshingly dry tropical, citrus, floral and pine with excellent carbonation in faultless condition and temperature.
Kent - Cobnut4.10ExcellentDid what it said on the tin..
East London (ELB) - Quadrant Oatmeal Stout5.50ExcellentAn elegantly smooth stout with a silky mouthfeel, rich dark fruit flavour and hints of coffee.
Muirhouse - Big Bertha!4.00ExcellentFull bodied malty honey fare
Iron Pier - From The Wave6.40GoodJuicy, fruity, tropical, piney hop character with resinous citusy aroma.
Gun - Scaramanga Extra Pale Ale3.90AcceptableThe very last of the cask, flavours OK but lacklustre. I was offered an alternative however I stuck with it.

My first visit to this much celebrated pub owing to always heading North upon arriving at KT towards The Pineapple & Southampton Arms etc.. Very busy for an early Sunday evening with folk everywhere, standing room only thus we made use of the extended window shelving for its intended purpose of beer glass storage!
BeerABVScoreNotes
Cellar Head - Flapjack4.70ExcellentA buttery rich, smooth stout, loaded with plenty of oats and roasted malts.
New River - Twin Spring4.00GoodA clear golden ale, with a light creamy head. Brewed with Caramalt providing mellow, caramel flavours and Wai-iti hops from New Zealand creating a delicate fruity aroma.

Early Friday evening and absolutely packed. A great atmosphere in hare tonight. I have not listed all the beers available but there are a couple from Cellar Head.

Five Points - Best Fuggles Hops4.10Excellent
Five Points - XPA4.00Not TriedOne of our group thought this may be the Pale with the wrong pump clip but the bsrman went to the cellar and photographed the cask label.

Just after 12:00 and fairly quiet. The first pub on a tour of the Camden Town area, most of our group opted for the Big Smoke Cosmic Dawn.

Late afternoon after a journey by bus and rail from the Little Green Dragon. Fairly busy but we sat at a table that was reserved from later on in the day. Some of my friends drank pints of a beer that were murky and not very nice but assumed (wrongly) that is was one of those trendy unfined vegan friendly beers. When the beer was taken off sale they asked if it was supposed to have been like that to which the answer was definitely No, but no refund was offered or given.

Early-evening and quite lively. I must be looking more like a beer drinker these days as I was offered a CAMRA discount as soon as I ordered.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Reunion - Trial Brew No. 7 PIA New Zealand Dark Beer4.40ExcellentAn excellent, dark beer. Somewhere in the uncharted territory between a Porter and a Black IPA.
Pig & Porter - Agents of the Free3.50GoodAn orange-flavoured, amber-coloured beer. I thought it a bit odd. Orange and tobacco tastes. A bit thin.

I’m leading a pub crawl for East London CAMRA and this is an emergency first stop when we find the Camden Brewery is still closed for its Christmas holidays. Only 7 members make it here but we all enjoy the pub and the CAMRA discount.
BeerABVScoreNotes
London Fields - Hackney Hopster4.20ExcellentA very hoppy pint.
Sharp's - Alexander Buckthorn4.80AcceptableThe ingredients sound very interesting, including Sea Buckthorn and Alexander seeds. But somehow it comes across as a very ordinary pint of bitter. I’ll have to try it again some time.

A really pleasant atmosphere in this revived pub, including a very shy pub cat. Last time I passed, the place had looked near derelict. After I left, I discovered from a friend that this pub offers a CAMRA discount.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Brodie's (latterly contract brewed by Rhymney) - London Fields Pale Ale4.00ExceptionalA perfect pint of golden, hoppy loveliness. Exemplar of the style
Kingstone - Challenger4.60GoodChestnut-coloured and unfiltered. A good, malty bitter. Presumably uses Challenger hops, but it is not a hoppy pint.
Vale - Brill Gold (was 3.5%)3.40GoodGolden and malty, with a long bitter aftertaste.
