Sunday lunch cycle meet. The beers are all Wantsum now - but I don’t think they’ve eliminated their “3 pint run”
from the cellar - as the poor quality of the Hurricane indicated.
| Wantsum - Grim Reaper | 5.50 | | Super Halloween brew in great nick. |
| Wantsum - Hurricane | 4.50 | | A very good beer in very poor condition. Vinegar notes. |
| Wantsum - Imperium | 4.00 | Not Tried | |

Sunday lunch. Reasonably busy inside and in the garden. Looks like they are now just sourcing ale from Wantsum.
| Wantsum - Black Pig | 4.80 | | Don’t often go for the darker beers. This was in fine form, well rounded. Very moorish. |
| Wantsum - Imperium | 4.00 | Not Tried | Didn’t try it myself as it looked a little murky, but others seemed to think it was ok. |

Late Sunday lunchtime. A crooner in the sunny garden with an appreciative audience. Looks like they may have sorted their long beer run. Couple of Wantsum Ales on.
| Wantsum - Hurricane | 4.50 | | To condition, full pint, £5.20 |
| Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried | |

Lunchtime - glorious weather for our cycle meet. We sat outside in the sun as did many of the other customers. Only safe beers on. £4.80 a pint.
| Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10 | | |
| Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | | |

New owners, kitchen closed for a few days for a refurb. No ales on but Doom Bar waiting apparently! The new landlady is concerned about the long run from pump to barrels - a 3-pint pull-off she reckons. She has a Shivering Sands rep coming to give advice on installing something nearer the bar for real ales. Hopeful for the future.

Cycle meet - 12 of us, but hardly any other customers. Only DB on tap as they are running down to hand over to new tenants this weekend.
| Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | | Hobsons Choice - but surprisingly good. |
29 Aug 2024 (ChrisatSturry)
The chef had gone, so no cheesey chips but also no customers except us cyclists. Usually a busy pub due to being surrounded by mobile homes.
| Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10 | | Refreshing |
| Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | | Ordinary |
| Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | Not Tried | |
27 Jun 2024 (ChrisatSturry)
Traditional pub greatly extended for food trade. Good friendly service, good cheesey chips. Nice garden.
| Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10 | | Ordinary bitter, caramel. |
| Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%) | 3.40 | Not Tried | |
| Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried | |
19 May 2024 (ChrisatSturry)
Potterers cyclists meet. Welcoming bar staff. Sat outside in the garden in the sunshine. Entertained by a chap singing to backing tracks.
| Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10 | | Always a pleasent beer and in good condition. |
| Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried | Others tried it, looked cloudy |
17 Mar 2024 (Jack William)
Another cycle group meeting. 10 of us took over the front bar a bit and got some frosty stares from the staff. Not sure why, plenty of room in the rest of this barn of a place.
| Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10 | | Disappointingly bland and it much life. I might go for Doom Bar next time! |
| Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried | |
| Sharp's - Doom Bar | 4.00 | Not Tried | |
