I popped in here for a quick one on the way to Clapham Junction station. Not so busy and I was able to sit briefly in an armchair in the middle bar – very nice. I did not note the wide range of beers available.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Glamorgan (formerly Kite) - My Darlin' Lemontime4.00ExcellentGlamorgan Brewing Co. is the new name for the brewing operation formerly known as Kite. Pale and sharp and very, very lemony. Perfect antidote to a grim beer drunk elsewhere just before.

A brief early-evening visit. Quite busy. I think the refurbishment has made the interior even more lovely than before.

Evening. A walking real ale disaster area in the pub's Nicholson's beer festival.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00GoodSo very variable - this was extremely bitter and other recent examples have been much more floral sweet
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00Acceptable2nd one flat as a proverbial pancake
Exmoor - Gold4.50PoorAnother customer sought my help to get his beer exchanged for significant haziness. Swapped out but still left on sale
St Austell - Tribute4.20PoorToo cold, scummy head, hazy, perhaps too fresh but anyway tasted too gassy leading to a CO2 metallic taste
Navigation - Traditional3.80UndrinkableAs sour as your old hat Sarson'sually speaking. Barmaid acknowledged with a significantly turned up nose when she tried it but left it on sale despite swapping out mine
St Austell - Nicholson's Pale Ale4.00UndrinkableAsked for taster. It tasted like a Cadbury's Caramel bar. The barmaid wondered if an incorrect cask had been connected up but left it on sale. But Cadbury doesn't brew to my knowledge!

Always a good bet for a decent choice of good beers, we sat at one end of the front bar, and had some good conversation with the bar staff. The beer was so good that we missed our train and had to have another one.
