Early evening. I’d heard that this had recently changed hands. Enthusiastic new owners talking of varying the real ales. TT Landlord ready to go on and a new Angels and Demons being delivered tomorrow. Unfortunately no other customers in - but I’ll keep an eye on this one.

Stop 3 cycle Sunday. Mid afternoon- friendly crowd of locals and a blazing log fire, nice.
Dark Star - Hophead was 3.8% (some has also been brewed by Fuller's) | 3.40 | | Fine - but a very long time being poured, very lively. |
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10 | Not Tried

Early evening - only a handful in. This looks like another rural gem - good “public bar” area with a pool table, a small eating area, plus conservatory, small garden and a quiete roadside area with bench table.
Love the (new) sign - with the old sawyer clearly not the wisest.
Dark Star - Hophead was 3.8% (some has also been brewed by Fuller's) | 3.40
Canterbury Ales (sometimes badged as Canterbrew) - The Wife of Bath's Ale | 3.90 | Not Tried

My wife and were in need of a lunchtime meal so dropped in here. It was quite quiet but then we had arrived just after noon. The food was good and reasonably priced with vegetarian options advertised.
Adnams - Southwold Bitter | 3.70
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10 | Not Tried

Early afternoon Saturday. Not many in at first, but later there were a few people eating. Only two real ales.
Adnams - Southwold Bitter | 3.70 | | Nice full hop flavour and an intensely dry finish. |
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - London Pride | 4.10 | | Quite smooth and creamy, but without any real character. Not bad nevertheless. |
